Max Power London 2003

Later on in the year, Max Power announced another show in London, we assumed that as this was the capital of the country the show would be bigger and better than the one in the NEC and we were completely wrong. It was OK but smaller an this time we thought we would be good people and go there by public transport.
First the trains, well there was engineering work going on so the only way to get there before it shut would have been to go to |Derby arriving at 23.00, catch the train out at 06.00 in the morning and change at so many other places and we would arrive about 30 minutes before the show closed.

Buses were pretty much the same with no way of getting there in time.

And so we thought of a plane for Liverpool Airport to London city airport which was right on the doorstep, unless you wanted to travel on a Sunday when you had to change at the Isle of Man, get off at Heathrow and catch the tune down, so in the end we drove there.

The drive down was uneventful and the only mishap on the way back was when a cup of superheated coffee dropped on my legs taking most of the skin off, this made Stephen pull over to the hard shoulder as he was so worried about me that it took him at least 10 minutes to stop laughing,

Here's pictures of the day.
