What makes good Science Fiction or Fantasy?

It's quite a complicated question and depends on your point of view really, there's the people that love Star Wars and hate Star Trek and vice versa and then there are people that don't like either but like Battlestar Galactica and so forth.

But in my opinion, the best programmes and films have good story lines, good acting, believable characters, great special effects, good fight sequences, memorable spaceships like The Enterprise, Serenity and finally but probably the most important, women in tight fitting clothes.

Would Voyage or Enterprise have been as good without Seven of Nine or T'Pol and then there's number 6 in Galactica.
