Ground Control

I don't like having a single click to run something and I want to change the looks of the desktop, you don't have to but if you do this is the way. Click on the spanner and screwdriver in the taskbar.

As you are only making changes for your account, you won't be asked for the root password, expand Look & Feel and then Style and then click on the Workspace tab.

You can now select one of these themes and then select Apply to put it in place, I'm going for the Oxygen one.

Then go down the bottom of the list and expand Computer Administration, then Keyboard and Mouse and then click on Mouse. Change the single click option from above to double click and then click on apply.

Lets go back up to Look & Feel and this time go for Icons and then select the Advanced Tab

Change the icon size from 48 to 32 as shown below,

And that's about it, tidying up is accomplished.
